What can I use to coat the inside of the tank ?

My tank had minimal rust on the interior. Decided to use Evaporust to clean it up a bit. Was absolutely amazed to see how well that stuff works. Damn near looked like a new tank after I let it soak for a few days. Unlike the 30 minute directions for the product, it's best to let it soak for a few days. Due to working very long shifts however. I let the tank sit dry fo a couple days too long after I drained the Evaporust, resulting in more rust building back up than I had to begin with. So, I'll have to do it again. When I do, I'm going to coat the tank this time after I use the Evaporust. What is a good coating product ?

If you are in the Pittsburgh area, you might consider Elizabeth Radiator. They did a nice job on one of my tanks for $65.

I used evaporust also. I let dry for a couple hours with a fan going and then rinsed it out with gas. Refilled it immediately with gas to flash the bare metal (according to their instructions). The rust hasn't returned and looks good.

I've done both the Evaporust and the POR-15. While the Evaporust is good stuff, I was very impressed by the results I got from using the POR-15.
The key is that the inside of the tank needs to be completely free of any oils, varnish, gunk, etc. Putting Evaporust in a tank with gunk left in it (and there is, if any fuel was left in it for years) just ruins the expensive jug of Evaporust, and won't give the results you wish.
The POR-15 kit for motorcycle tanks comes with a cleaner (alkaline based detergent), a rust remover/pre-treatment (very similar to Evaporust), and the POR-15 paint (to line the tank). It takes several hours of work (and a heat gun to dry the tank!), but anyone can do it.

Yeah, I knew better and intended to do the same. But, long consistent hours at work did not allow me to get to it in time. Next time, before I drain the Evaporust. I'll have the fresh gas ready to go in immediately.

I've also used the POR-15 kit for motorcycle tanks, it is awesome and leaves a really nice smooth finish! Just about to buy another one to coat my T350 tank with.

Pealjam724, don't know any chromers.
Have thought about having some parts rechromed. I think the chromers offer volume discounts.
Let me know if you find a good local chromer. I might also be interested in having some parts chromed.

Will do. You do the same. I'll be looking pretty intensely, I'd say withing the next month to two.
