Throttle cable adjustment for GT 750

I have several manuals for my 74 GT 750 but cannot find any description of the proper steps to adjust the throttle cables. I am pretty much a step by step person, so anyone with a list of the steps that is willing to share it will go on my lifesavers list.
I think I am getting close to trying to start it for the second time in three months. Of course a month of that time was wasted waiting on a pipe from Omar's that never showed up. My refund showed up in the form of a check that bounced. He did finally pay me, but I will not be doing business with him again.
Thanks.

I'm surprised no one answered this post about cable adjustment. Make sure the two barrel adjusters on the cable up by the throttle are screwed in fully first, then adjust the "pull" cable by the carburetor bracket so that there is no more than 1/4 inch of free play at the throttle grip.
Check the "return" cables freeplay at the carburetors next by pressing on the cable midway down under that cable adjuster, it should deflect about a half inch for proper return without binding so adjust to this value as necessary.
You can then choose to fine tune the remaining freeplay at the grip by the barrel adjusters. Remember to recheck the return cables freeplay again before you are finished.

My thanks. Guess this is a simple enough procedure for most and it is pretty much they way I do it on other motorcycles, but nothing seems normal on this thing. I did get the cables adjusted and have been putting a few miles on it. Fueling is still far from perfect, but between 5 and 8 grand, it is really neat.

My thanks again.
