jet needle removal

Is there anything easy to do when working on a GT 750? I work on my other bikes, but maybe knowing that the part I am working on isn't irreplaceable makes it easier. Anyway, I am trying to remove the jet needle from the diaphram to adjust it for the chambers. The manual says that the plaastic piece above it is a press fit. How do I unpress it? I am doing my best not to break anything (else) so please give me some of those wonderful hints everyone has about getting them out.
By the way, I am going with Omar's 3into1 system. A setting of two up on the mains, one up on the pilot, and the needle clip at the lowest setting has been suggested. I am running pods as well.

Thanks.
MZ

Hi MZ,
Just hold the slide in one hand, with your other hand grip the needle with finger and thumb and push upwards,This will remove the plastic piece on top of the needle is not a tight fit,as it is held in place by the spring.

Thanks. I thought it was supposed to work that way, but the piece would not budge. I let it soak in PB for a couple of hours and finally managed to push it out. Glad I had another needle, cause I am sure that the original was damaged. I was all pumped up for the rest of the battle when, lo and behold, the other two fell out on their own. Everything is back together now and this never-ending but quite enjoyable process continues.
As always,
Thanks.
