I need a new set of tubes, mine are visibly tweaked so I assume I need a new set. Does anyone know if the tubes from another bikes would also work or where the best place to find some would be?? Thanks.

Alpha Sports & Suzuki Parts House have the part diagram for the TC250. They list it under 1969.
http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm
http://www.suzukipartshouse.com/#/Suzuk ... 0912800C12

left outer tube: 51140-11011
was used on T20 & TC250
right outer tube: 51130-11011
was used on T20 & TC250

inner tube for both sides: 51110-11010
was used on 1969 & earlier versions of T20, TC250, T250, T305, TC305 & T350

1969 & earlier forks for these bikes had external fork springs.
1970 & later forks had internal springs. Forks for 1970 & later bikes used different inner tubes.

The outer & inner tubes are no longer available from Suzuki.
Some fork tubes are currently available on eBay:
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw ... ccessories
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw ... ccessories
Check both links -- they provide a different list of parts.

Hope this helps.

mine were straightened but after 40 years the chrome was worn and pitted and I was told that would affect the seals so they wouldnt rechrome them.rechroming was about half the cost of new.I looked for others that might fit and there might be some but the cost was similar to buying from franks without the worry of -will they fit or wont they-after they are paid for.

That's kind of what I was thinking, they could end up straight but still needing the chrome, bite the bullet I guess  Thanks for the info.

One further amateur questions. How do you get those dang fork tubes apart? My Clymer manual is pretty worthless at least on this topic. I drained them, flushed them a bit but don't so anything else to remove to get them apart. Put in a vice and?? Thanks

there is an outer tube nut to undo.I put vice grips on mine with rag to protect the chrome.inside is the oil seal and an oil o ring.I presume the forks are off the bike.I couldnt find a 67 TC 250.only a 69 TC 250,the only year the TC250 was 69.1970 on was the TS250,68 and earlier was the TC200.any help :?: :?: :?:

Suzuki reused parts as much as they could back then.

Online parts manuals don't have much info for 1968 & earlier. Unless they needed to correct a defect, the forks most likely were the same for the entire production run of the TC250, which was 1967 to 1969.

The TC250 was a scrambler variation of the T20. According to the limited parts manuals available online, the T20 and TC250 used the same forks.

Might find what you need if you regularly check the eBay links I provided in my earlier post.
Paul Miller might have the NOS parts you need. He only lists a small portion of his inventory on eBay. His # is 860 828-1771.

I presume that the tube nut is #12 in the diagram, the chrome collar between the tube and the lower fork leg. I'm sure mine is stuck with rust. I have one in a vice and have been soaking it with penetrating oil, worried the chrome will get screwed if I grab it hard enough. May hit it with a heat gun. Any other tactics? Thanks for the info.

Something like a strap oil filter wrench might work better and would seem to be a lot less likely to damage the chrome.

Sears & NAPA auto parts have a few different versions of these wrenches. Other autoparts stores probably have them too.
Here is one of them at Sears: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1260 ... 1P?prdNo=5
Here is a different one at NAPA: https://www.napaonline.com/Catalog/Cata ... 75803&An=0

If you are having trouble I would go to the bike shop.it may cost $20 to separate the parts instead of buying tools you rarely use.if you are doing a rebuild you will probably be rechroming the parts anyway.if its not a rebuild think about getting a TS250 front end.

I was thinking I might need one of those wrenches anyway. May stop at the moto junk yard tomorrow see what they might have. Thanks for the assistance.
