GT750 - CCI Oil Pump/Lines Flush

Hi guys

I’ve got my GT750 to fire but I suspect oil is not being delivered - the lines are probably all gummed up from sitting unused for ages. I plan to run it on 32:1 premix whilst I try and flush out the oil injection system before trying fresh CCI oil

My question – has anyone flushed out a oil injection system in a GT750? If so what did they use to flush it? Kerosene perhaps? Or do I really need to take the pump off and clean it all that way?

Cheers, n8

Remove the pump and manifold (octopus). Fill an oil can with isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. Flush all 6 lines from the oil pump end. Alcohol should help dissolve sludge and they should flow freely.
To check that your one way valves are working correctly, buy a nut that fits the banjo bolt. In each banjo end of the lines, install the bolt, 2 sealing washers and snug up the nut. Now try to pump alcohol through the open end of the banjo bolt. It should NOT go. If it does, keep flushing in both directions to try to get the valve to seat.
Above all, DO NOT USE COMPRESSED AIR. It will destroy the delicate check valves. Finally fill all the lines with 2 stroke oil. re mount everything an bleed the pump. There is a screw near the top of the pump that faces out. Loosen that screw till oil from the tank flows out. This gets MOST of the air out of the system. You will still see a few bubbles, but they should go away after about 20 minutes run time. Note that the pump feeds more oil to the cylinders than to the crankcase bearings. The last line to have bubbles would be the left crankcase line (the longest line).
