Hi,
I am converting my '72 GT550 to a disk brake front end. I saw a brake cylinder repair kit listed on ebay that supposedly fit the GT380 and GT550 brake cylinder. Were the GT380 and the GT550 cylinders identical? Any compatibility issues?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Re: GT550 Front Brake Cylinder
I believe that all the GT's from 185 to 750, used the same caliper, and repair kit part no. 59100-18831. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Re: GT550 Front Brake Cylinder
Thanks Fred. Any ideas about the master cylinder?

Re: GT550 Front Brake Cylinder
If the master cylinder was your question, then I believe that all the single disc models shared the same master cylinder. The 750, with two discs, had a slightly larger dia. master to supply more volume for the two calipers. You need rebuild kit no. 59600-18824, or equivalent. That should take care of it. Cheers.
