I noticed recently that there is a small bubble in the paint on my tanks lower edge so the tank has a pinhole as I feared when cleaning it last winter.
The tank is in great paint so I don't want to weld, so I'm asking for tips about these tank sealers I have available 2 types, a 2 part epoxy by a brand Tank Cure and a 1 part by the name POR 15. So any recommendations or tips are welcome.

Several of my bikes have sealer, several brands and types of sealer. TANK PREP, do not short cut tank prep. The inside of tank needs etching for the sealer to grab onto and hold to.

I've used 2 different sealers, the first one about 10yrs ago was by Caswell based in Hampshire Uk. I had the GPZ1100 approx another 4yrs and it never let me down. Two weeks ago I de-rusted my T250 tank (on my T350r) and used POR-15, it was done as preventative not because I needed to, it seems good but be aware that it takes 96hrs to cure.

I just relined the tank on my T500 with KBS Coatings 52000 Cycle Tank Sealer Kit. It costs around $50-60 USD for the 3 part kit. Has a de-greaser, caustic rust remover/etcher, and the coating material itself. The coating leaves a silver color that is similar to new metal, looks very good in my opinion. I also hand painted the underside of the gas cap separately with it to prevent rust. The coating can is difficult to open and gets bent up badly so the top will not re-seal well after opening. I suppose the factory tight seal is for shipping reasons. I had to purchase a second can of the coating material because I checked the inside of the tank after a few days with a digital inspection probe and saw that I had missed a small part. Very pleased with the overall result.
