Hello this is my first post so if i'm missing crucial information please let me know,
I bought a GT500 awhile back and i finnaly got the time to try and fire it up. Cleaned the carbs etc. and tried to start it but there was no spark. I thought the original ignition coil died because it was full of cracks and it wasn’t giving any ohm resistance. Decided to buy an ignition coil from rex's speedshop and installed it but again no spark. I measured all the wires by following the original shop manual (i’m aware the values for the ignition coils are incorrect in the original shop manual). I’m fairly new when it comes to electricity but i’m willing to learn and i measured all the wires and they all gave back correct values except for the “primary ignition coil”. It should give me around 1 ohm but it gives me 0.4.
As i said before my knowledge about electricity isn’t and i don’t know what to do next. The ignition coil is brand new so what could be the problem? maybe 0.4 ohm is enough (for a tiny spark)? maybe i’m measuring the wrong wires (black/white that comes from the stator and white/blue that comes from ignition coil)?
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Re: GT500 no spark
I managed to measure all the wires and they gave back a correct resistance.
Next thing i want to check is the CDI, any idea how to do this?
