- standard oil pump setting
- premix with lower percentage
- deviating oilpump setting
Just my opinion, like I said you need to remove the oil guides on the GT crankshaft to run straight premix,I read that some racers run combination, premix for top end but still use pump for main bearing feed, I can see this for racing but not for street riding.
The new oil doesn't foul spark plugs like the old oils used to, that is why I don't lower the percentage and risk oil starvation. I had oil starvation on my Yamaha when the pump malfunctioned, and I can tell you it can cause a lot of damage. This is why I play it safe on oil settings. Oil is much cheaper than crank and cylinder work.
don't forget though keith, the t10 engine is 55 years old
if you're going to use premix, then why not try several runs with different ratios? but start rich. empty fuel tank and try a litre of premix at 25:1, then 33:1 etc. you might need a few spare spark plugs as well though. just try until it's right. you could do the same with the oil pump. no premix. set the pump at the factory mark and try it. then back it off 1mm and try it again and again until it's right. trial and error is the only way to go if you're not sure, but as i said, always start off with a high oil setting, then back it off gradually
