1969 T350 - Clutch Spring Free Length

Hello All,
This is my first post on the forum, but I've been reading and learning for the past couple of months as I try to get a 1969 T350 back on the road.
One of the last remaining issues I have is that I have not been able to get the clutch mechanism adjusted properly yet. Running on the center stand, when the bike is in gear the clutch drags, even when the lever is fully pulled. I've tried adjusting the cable, and adjusting the screw under the clutch cover, but I'm still not having any luck. So I started to disassemble today, thinking that I may have an issue with burrs on the discs/basket causing everything to get hung up.
As part of that troubleshooting I found an interesting discrepancy in how my bike is setup versus the Haynes manual that I have for the bike. The free length of the springs that were installed into the bike is around 1.47", but the Haynes manual states that they should be 1.87", with a serviceable limit of 1.79". Can anyone confirm that the Haynes manual notes on spring length are correct? I think the Suzuki P/N is 09440-19004 if that helps.
Thanks for any help or advice that you guys can offer!
