1974 - GT185 - Engine case leak

I have discovered a leak on the engine case. It is spilling a lot of fluid which appears to be fuel to my untrained eye. From my research online i've worked out that i need to fix this with some sort of synthetic gasket glue?

Obviously this needs to be repaired, but what i want to know is would this issue cause the cylinder above this leak to not run as well as it should or would this be a completely seperate issue?

Any advice on repairing this and whether or not this is what would be causing the cylinder to not run properly would be greatly appreciated.

Where on the crankcase is that? (Most of us don't have a GT185, so we can't easily tell from a closeup pic.)

I believe it is the front of crankcase below the left cylinder,where the top and bottom cases bolt together.
If you have a leak there you will need to split the cases to reseal. If you leak fuel there, you will suck air in and definitely affect the running of that cylinder.

Thanks for getting back to me, 'karl pa' is correct its where the top and bottom cases bolt together.

Ok great, thanks for clarifying that for me, lucky I have plenty of time at the moment to fix this.

Any suggestions on what type of liquid gasket or other material is best for the job?

Do you think it is leaking where the cases bolt together, or could it be a leaking base gasket draining down to that spot? It is hard to tell, but the first picture looks like the cylinder base gasket may be leaking, this would give the same issue.
I'm not sure I would use that sealer, I use suzuki sealer that doesn't dry hard, I heard 3 bond being used.

Yep its definitely leaking from this spot, i watched it as the engine was running and could see the fuel and air bubbling from this point. I've previously replaced the cylinder base gaskets and they all appear to be sealed fine.
As far as the liquid gasket goes, are you suggesting that I use one that doesn't seal hard? Could you please provide a link to the types that you suggest?
