Oily Exhaust
Hi Guys, I haven't been on here for awhile, I have an on going issue with one very oily baffle/exhaust left cylinder on my GT750A, dripping black oily liquid to the ground, whilst on the side stand, the other 3 are dry, by comparison. I change the gearbox oil awhile ago, & I always measure what comes out, this time it seems a little less, I do have a small oil leak from the points cam seal which I must fix 2 stroke Oil consumption appears normal after marking the tank level and riding 100 miles or so, I thought I may have a leaky check valve on that oil line I think I'll undo the SRIS valve on the front of the left cylinder tomorrow & see if any accumulated oil/fuel dribbles out of the crankcase, bike is running fine otherwise, bike smokes only when under load up long hills,& when its started from cold. I did think that it may be accumulated condensation, all four pipes do have this to some degree until the bike is ridden up to temperature except the left cylinder of cause. I've been using Castrol TTS 2stroke for years now without problems, while I'm here can someone tell me how to change my password

Re: Oily Exhaust
My 750 does the same on the sidestand. Crap finding the lowest point I think. Take the exhausts off and hang them up to drain, or degrease/wash them through when hung up. Winter job probably!
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Occasionally.
Makes a mess of the panniers too, but they'll wipe and I don't want to lean off the oil pump. The rebuild wasn't cheap!!!!

Re: Oily Exhaust
Hi,I've just been alerted to check for a leaking fuel tap & check on the float heights, fuel could be most likely leaking into crank cases on the left cylinder
