Well I believe I've located the problem....Cranks seal on the center cylinder.
Got tired of yelling at the carbs and pulled them off along with the pipes.
Plugged everything up, right cylinder is as it should be. Held 7lbs no problem,
Center cylinder wouldn't even think of coming up on pressure. I had to double check all the plugs as I was sure I had one not sealing....Nope. One of the center crank seals is non functional.
Left cylinder would pressurize but leaks down pretty quickly.
Out she comes.....
At least now I can quit calling the carbs names!!!
The engine didn't have 300 miles on it when I sold the bike.
Crank was rebuilt when the bike was restored: all new components.
Friend put a couple thousand on it before she started acting all wonky.
I've cleaned numerous carbs on bikes for this man and they always come in all sticky and green.
Seems that non ethanol gas with an overly generous helping of Stabil 360 will mess up some stuff in very short order.......

So what if it was short.......I still had a great time!

Did the tank tap leak? If you got ethanol sitting inside the crankcases for long periods, then petrol would evaporate and leave that horrid crap in the cases to eat the seals?
Sue the government or send the bill for crank repair to trump. Let us know how you get on............
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Petcock was new and works like it should. She's had non ethanol in her for pretty much the entire time. Only thing I can figure is that the overload of Stabil has affected the seals. I wouldn't have thought that a product that's supposed to be beneficial would cause the issues that it has. I know for a fact that it will mess up a set a carbs in short order. Granted, it was an overdose of Stabil but still....... I'll have the cases split today.
