2T oil leaking from viewing eye in oil tank...

Post by Ramjam »

If anyone can tell me how to seal the round seal of the viewing eye, i would be very grateful. WOuld silican (obviously done when the level is lower) do it? Or a poxy resin? It's only a small leak but after a few days doesn't half leave a puddle of the red stuff on the pavement.

thanks for your help

I would try the gasket sealer because if the epoxy didn't work you may have to look for a new tank.

What is wrong with doing it the right way? The parts are available, and they're cheap.

If you stroke it more than twice; you're playing with it.

Too many bikes, too much time, ENOUGH SPACE, FINALLY! Never enough money.........

These do, I should think.
http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or these
https://www.discountbikespares.co.uk/sh ... 4600-31830" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But why not just remove the sightglass and put an O ring behind, then tighten up again?
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.

Sorry, my mistake. I did not see that detail. Is shipping from the US an issue or is it Ebay in general?

Believe it or not, Discountbikes only uses Paypal. THIS is what dosn't work in Lebanon, when i wrote that Ebay doesn't work. It's the PP component.

Anywyay, i dind't even know you could take it out. Does it screw out? The sightglass

No,the problem is Lebanon and paypal don' work. So it's always difficult finding a dealer in the UK or US who will first of all take a call over the phone and accept CC details.
A lot won't. And then of course you have to find one which also deals with international post.
