Hi,just a warning guys, after spending the last 6 weeks off the road, checking everything to cure a poor running GT750A,the poor running is down to a very badly clogged left hand top pipe  So badly blocked that 7 days in a hot industrial tub of chemicals has not cleared it  The other pipes responded well & are now back on the bike,I've always made sure the baffles were clean & free,so if you have a drop off in performance check your pipes, before stripping carbs & looking for electrical problems like I did ! Having said that,I did find things "going wrong" carbs needed an overhaul,a torn diaphragm, alternator brushes needed replacing etc
Cheers,

I don't think anyone state side would hot tank oily old pipes. Radiators yes. Pipes I doubt it. -- thanks to the EPA. Can't get triple chrome plating anymore either due to the cyanide used in the intermediate copper plate process. But hey, it's not all bad. We DO have ethanol laced gasoline :?

8) Hi,at least we still have a choice here about Ethanol laced fuel...straight fuel 91,95 & 98 Ron unleaded available...91 Ron with 10% Ethanol if you are silly enough to buy it

Roger

a handful of stations here sell non ethanol fuel. Cost about 25 - 30 cents a gallon more than the laced stuff. Octane rating is low though at 87. Bike seems to like it OK.. I do burn ethanol fuel in my 4 wheeler.

 Yes two strokes seem to like the higher octane straight unleaded fuel,I've seen the results of what Ethanol blended fuel does to rubber components in carbs,NOT good

 Hi,my left hand exhaust pipe is STILL blocked !!,after weeks of different chemical baths nothing is moving the carbon & what ever else is in there.I've now fitted Delkevic Replica pipes & the bike is now back to normal...apart from a different exhaust note that I expected would happen !
Cheers,
Roger
