Suzuki 2 Strokes

Hello everyone,

I just picked up a 71 Stinger. When I started it up it started making a high pitched squealing noise. I can't tell exactly where it is coming from.

I just ordered my manual and have been working with PB blaster to remove the stuck screws.

In the meantime can anyone point me in the right direction of what might be causing the noise?

Just guessing, but that sounds like the tach or tach cable to me. I'd disconnect the cable at the engine & see if it goes away.
