water pump resistence in turning
One more question. Just installed a NOS water pump. it feels like there is quite a bit of resistence when spinning it with my fingers. is this normal. pressure from the spring seal inside it im assuming.

There should be a slight drag from the top oil seal,. That seal may be dry. Try a few drops of oil on it.

Re: water pump resistence in turning
thanks for the reply. i dont know if id call it a "slight drag" it seems a little more than that. maybe its just cause its brand new...and a bit tighter on the seals. the impeller is not rubbing and i did oil the bearing and seals. i guess its just the way it is. thanks.
