Suzuki 2 Strokes

Anybody have a late model GT750 electrical schematic? Apparently the leads from the ignition switch were cut and cobbled together at one time. I have a schematic that shows only 4 wires, must be an earlier model. In addition to the Red, Orange, Brown, and Gray, There is a Black w/white tracer, Black w/yellow tracer, Green w. white tracer and White w.red tracer. T.I.A.

Thanks Tim, Yes I have that one. It only shows 4 lines from the switch. The bundle coming out has 8 wires which I think are broken out into 2 connectors.

Thanks Jim, Now I'm wondering what's up here. The switch bundle has 8 wire coming out, 4 solid colors, 4 with tracer colors. The schematics that I've looked at for the GT750 all have 4 leads, the GT550 has 6 wires. Is it possible that the switch has been bodged in from another model? The switch looks correct with only 3 poles. The RE5 switch has 6 wires with 4 poles. This wiring re-hook up should be pretty simple, but its driving me nucking futs.

I don't think that's a GT switch. I think I have one....I'll check when I get home.

If the switch is good, you have a key and it was working when yo got it, you could just tie off the tracer wires. After assembly and you are sure nothing plugs into those tracer wires, cut them off. Leave about 1/2 inch of wire. Cut some heat shrink tubing in 3/4 inch lengths. Heat to shrink the tubing and while it's still hot, grab the exposed end with a pair of needle nose pliers and squeeze. That fuses the exposed end shut. Neat and short free.
