HI Guys,
I'm moving along on getting this bike running. Parts are very hard to find for the petcock. I was wondering if anyone had used a gravity flow versus a vacuum pump and if it worked. In reading the posts on this site these apparently the (vacuum) have a leaking issue at the diaphram.
Any comments are greatly appreciated!

You can do that but you have to cap the vacuum hose off.
You can also buy a new GS or GSXR fuel tap for a reasonable price and still have the vacuum shut off feature.

HVC Cycle has an early model petcock rebuild kit. $30. http://www.hvccycle.net/petcock-reseal-kits/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I was born with nothing and still have most of it left.
