T500 oil dam - case markings?

Post by Eric P »

Hello everyone, I'm picking up a T500 this weekend and I had a question I was hoping someone might have an answer to this. When a Titan was brought to the dealer to have an oil dam installed in the transmission, was there any sort of marking put on the cases? It seems like a lot of work to split the cases if the dam has already been installed. I know other manufacturers have stamped cases to show when an internal modification has already been done. (An example is the cam chain tensioner in the Honda cb360, part of their service bulletin is below)

I'd rather not disassemble this bike right off the bat but I will if I have to.

Thanks,
Eric

Until Suzuki started casting the 1400cc into the engine cover (not sure what year that was), they used a decal/sticker on the cover.
