pressure washing an engine?

looking for advice on cleaning the crankcase on my T500.

Jugs were removed- they are going to be vapor blasted. Side covers all removed- they are going to be powder coated. I have been slowly picking away at the crankcase, which is literally coated in an inch of oil, sludge, mud, and petrified hornets nests. I got it pretty darn clean, but I can't seem to get all the tiny nooks and crannies. Before I send away the jugs and side covers, I was thinking about bolting those back on (without gaskets), putting plugs back in the heads, covering the exhaust and carb inlet holes, and pressure washing the crap out of the crankcase. I just wonder if this is a good idea or not? I worry about causing a leak in the various seals (kickstarter, clutch detent, gear shifter, oil pump, etc, etc.). I also worry about water getting inside the crankcase. Has anyone done this? would you recommend it? I suppose after I get done blasting it, I could remove the jugs, turn upside down and make sure all the water is out and then fill it right back up with oil.

If you want the cases to match the vapour blasted jugs etc. you will have to bite the bullet and strip the cases for blasting too (no other way around it). The only method I have heard of to safely blast an assembled engine is blasting with Dry Ice (i.e. solid carbon dioxide). Know this can be done, don't have a clue where though

Vapour blasting produces very good results. Be VERY thorough in cleaning all blast media however.

I blocked up the ports thoroughly, and soda blasted mine.
