72 GT550 PETCOCK

Post by kcgt550 »

HI Guys,
I'm moving along on getting this bike running. Parts are very hard to find for the petcock. I was wondering if anyone had used a gravity flow versus a vacuum pump and if it worked. In reading the posts on this site these apparently the (vacuum) have a leaking issue at the diaphram.
Any comments are greatly appreciated!

You can do that but you have to cap the vacuum hose off.

You can also buy a new GS or GSXR fuel tap for a reasonable price and still have the vacuum shut off feature.
