72 GT380 carb tips

Post by jabcb »

Bike has the early carbs with individual cables for each carb.
Any tips on installing & adjusting new choke cables?

Just make sure they all come off properly. My old 550J had a sticky choke plunger on one carb and didn't close (choke off) properly. Started OK, but choked up on that cylinder when warm below about 3.5K rpm which made it fun to ride in snow.
Obviously they should all lift together or maybe one cylinder will be bad to start if the choke doesn't lift so much.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.
