1972 TS Ascot Red Paint color match help

Post by smokingbanana90 »

I am restoring a 1972 TS90 and I can't find the stock ASCOT RED. Does anyone know the closest modern-day paint color or the formula? Has anyone ever found ASCOT RED anywhere? :? Thanks! Any input appreciated.

Welcome aboard.

Suzuki colour codes can be found at the following link but I don't see the colour you mentioned. These are Suzuki's own naming convention and code selection, but they are meaningless as far as formula's or modern day equivalents.

The link to Suzuki colours:

Some companies such as RS Bike Paint in the UK have some of the Suzuki Paints, you can check and see if your bike is listed there.

http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-us/colours.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You may have to get your painter to try and match up your original paint.

Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I got this bike from a junkyard and there is not any good samples of the paint.
