Spoke Question

Yep, me again! Starting to dominate this section with all my questions aren't I?

Just wondering about options for the rear wheel spokes and nipples for the J Buffalo? Mine are very dirty and a few are looking a bit bent so I'd like to replace them. I've been to the local lacer (he's ancient, retired twice but still working the wheels for us bikers  ) but he doesn't have any suitable spokes. His supplier got eliminated in the Tsunami in Japan and nothing will be available for 3 months.

Does anyone do good reproductions of the correct spokes and nipples that are safe to use? (One of our group members had 7 spokes snap recently on the one wheel - he thought he'd got a good deal on ebay  )

Thanks, Mike

Only Buchanans comes to mind, stainless spokes and nipples is the best way to go for the look and longevity. The stock spokes are still available from Suzuki but cost about two thirds of the Buchanans.

Given your location, you may also want to look at UK suppliers just to compare prices - Central Wheel is one :
