Does anyone have a good pic of the correct shift/gear lever for the 72 J model - with the correct type of rubber? My one doesn't seem to sit quite right so I'm wondering if it is wrong - I have little faith in the P.O.!!!

Thanks, Mike

A rubber with an end cap and a more offset angle as the gear shift shaft was shorter. Wait a minute heres what it looks like. Notice this bike has on the wrong points cover, oh well you cant get it 100% right, thats why it drives restorers nuts or new owners crazy as to whats correct.

Gee, wished my sidecover looked like that. Mine has an unpleasant crack running through it; that one looks so pretty :)

Thanks for the photo Allan. My lever looks a similar shape and size but has a rubber that sits in the middle, rather than on the end - so maybe it ain't quite correct.

Allan, did you get my PMs? We sorta lost touch on our conversation.
