Long Term Storage T500

Post by Smoker68 »

I am in the process of replacing crank seals on a ‘68 T500 Cobra I restored a few years ago. Clearly “operator error” on my part for letting the seals dry out. The only good news is that I actually enjoy tearing the engine apart and putting it back together.

I’ve restored a number of Suzuki two stroke twins and treat some as riders and some as collector pieces. Anyone have any suggestions for how to store the Suzuki two stroke twins on a long term basis without ruining the crank seals? Any advice appreciated.

Ride them on a regular basis. That's what they are for after all.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.
