Would anyone know where to route cables and wiring on a 1975 GT380M please?
Is there any official data, or is it down to guesswork?
Many Thanks
Tom

Never seen one. I would say it would be the nearest to where parts are.
That's not being 'smart' for once, just where the parts are near to a sensible harness run.
On the 550 the harness runs along the left frame tube and the 380 is very similar. Personally, I also run an extra earth from the battery -ve to frame between tank and seat, then to all relays, regulator, rectifier etc. mounting studs behind the left panel. If you crimp ring connectors onto 1.5mm multistrand cable and put heat shrink on the ends, it looks OEM and things work more reliably!

Thanks Alan. I think running some extra earth wires would be a good idea. On all the new wiring connections I have done so far I have crimped, then soldered and used heat-shrink wherever possible. It helps keep out a bit of moisture and, like you say, it looks professional. After all, I will be riding it in all weathers. It is a pity Suzuki didn't use waterproof connectors. The multi-plug connections are all open to the elements.
