Passenger Peg Vibration

Post by grumpy56 »

Hello All. The passenger footpegs on the early GT380s vibrate horribly due to being the muffler attachment to the frame. Has anyone used a silicone or some other method to isolate the bracket from the mufflers to reduce some of the tingles? Thanks.

Don't think silicone would help - you have to tighten that stuff pretty tight, it'd just squeeze out of the joint.
If you could rig up a proper isolated rubber mount like one of those cotton reel rubber mounts (some exhausts use them) that could work.

Thank you, There is not much clearance on that exhaust mount, but will try something like that.

I cut some thin rubber to fit between the inner & outer brackets and this helped on my 550s.
Think of how stupid the average person is, then realise that half of them are more stupid than that.
