Ok ill ask about any of the 50 parts, maybe theres some A50 or AC50 parts still there Jostein, however we never brought the AS or TS in the 50cc sizes.
Jim ALL these parts were NOS items just left on the shelves in a disused portion of the stock room until a few years ago.
We decided to convert the area to expand some automobile spares use and as such the items were counted, cleaned and allocated to some crates.
I saw my brother doing it in his spare work time, and thought he had done an items total listing, but he did it all from memory, the guys just a vintage Suzuki fanatic.
No matter what models i asked him for earlier today, he could tell me everything that was there and who it went to and WHEN it went.
Let me check on him again,,,,, The walking talking vintage Suzuki encyclopedia.

Third GT380
Some pictures of the GT380, a black "B" model, I'm currently assembling after a complete dismantle followed by cleaning, painting, etc. etc.
This one got a terminal rebore to 56,4 mm., ence 401 cc. displacement, filled by three "Asso" pistons; either this engine will be a real powerhouse or the whole thing will explode in pieces, beginning from the rods.....

logical order for reassembly
I can't decide what the most logical order for reassembly on my Buffalo is.
I have the motor in the frame and bolted down. None of the electrics are on the bike yet. Tin is not painted yet.
Would it be better to try to get just the stuff required to get it started and do some test running on the bench before I put the swing arm, wheels, forks, chain, etc back on, or just complete all the assembly and then worry about the tuning? Or maybe it is somewhere in between those two methods. I guess I'm thinking that if it has to come back apart for any reason, it would be better to not have all the other stuff in the way.

That's what I want to do but the motor is so damn heavy, if it has to come back out, everything will have to come back off again, and with my lack of experience and the fact that Murphy's Law dog's the h$ll out of me, well you get the picture.
I did however, take my time and followed the manual as best I could, and I rechecked everything about 10 times. I replaced everything that I thought had any chance of causing a problem.
By the way, where's Gordon? I have not seen him post recently.

Seat interchangeability
The seat on my T500R has been recovered and restuffed. It has no chrome trim on it at this stage. However, I have stumbled across a neat looking original seat for a T350 (exact model unknown but is described as early 70s). This has both the chrome trim and seat strap. Is this different to the seat on my Titan, could I swap them over (he asks hopefully) or are they very different?
Many thanks, Mike

Thats my way to do it to. Unfortunately I'm taking my engine out for the third time now but hopefully this time will be the charm.rngdng wrote:I just put it all together and take my chances.![]()
Lane

If nothing else I'm getting pretty efficient at removing the pipes, radiator, cooling fan, and tearing the engine down to 100's of small pieces.
Good luck with it Wayne.
