Hello,
I am new to the form. I have a GT500 that I want to convert to double discs. Can I just put gt550 or gt750 fork sliders onto my existing fork tubes or do I need to use the entire fork tube assembly?
Glad to be on this forum, looks like there are a lot of knowledgeable people here.

Glad you have posed that question, as I have just bought a pair of 750 lowers from Coyote, in the hope that 500 legs will fit right in. I suspect they will, but someone here will know for sure.

Thanks for the input Pedro......we heard, that CBR600 rotors line up with the Suzuki hubs, so we were going to experiment with a modern, readily available caliper for our next build. I can see the front wheel stopping, and the rest of the bike carrying on !

Thanks, Pedro. So you aren't saying that it will not work but that it might not or it might require some engineering.

That's what I fitted to my 750. Saves a ton of weight

I take it theese bolt straight on to the hubs, but how do they allign to stock calipers?
What year/model cbr600 am I looking for?
Thanks

F3 I think. The earlier (and Later) ones had much larger centers, so it's fairly obvious.

thanks. how about caliper alignment and outer diameter?

OD is the same as stock +/-2mm 298mm IIRC.
Caliper spacing is pretty easy to work out. Bolt disks to wheel and fit wheel. Slide calipers over disks and apply brakes and hold lever on. Measure gap and design adapter to fit the gap and bolt spacing.
