Does anyone know the widest rim that will fit into a stock GT750 swingarm, with maybe a 130/80 or 140/80 tire?
I'm going to lace up some alloy rims on my GT project bike.
Thanks
Mark

Re: GT750 rear wheel width?
130 18 on a 3.00" rim slides in with a just a slight trim of the front bracing. I have that combo on the Phat Trakka.
Of course a GS750 swingarm is almost the same but longer and could fit an even wider tire/rim combo. Early ones had spoked wheels but rear disk, so that would need some modification

Perfect, exactly what I wanted to know. I'd like to keep the stock length arm so the wheelbase doesn't get longer, and I'm going to lace up some wider than stock alloy rims onto GS hubs. I'll have a spoke wheel rear disc that way.tz375 wrote:130 18 on a 3.00" rim slides in with a just a slight trim of the front bracing. I have that combo on the Phat Trakka.
