gearbox leak gt380

Post by Ramjam »

I've just replaced the gasket for the gearbox cover, but have noticed that there is still some gearbox oil coming out. Can anyone tell me where exactly the fault is likely to be?

thanks

No, not really too much oil. Well, if i fill it up with the 1.5 litres, then yes, it comes out the top breather all on its own.

But mostly its on the stand over night and i see a small pool in the morning, which i know is from underneath somewhere.

You say unscrew the breather? How much?
Please elaborate

so theres the filler cap on the top.... (plastic black winged cap)

back, near the kicker, there will be a philips-hex bolt with a gasket washer, in the middle of the case. It should be the only one like that. if you take out the bolt and let any extra oil run out you should be good.
