Here's a little blurb from my Suzuki Triples manual:

Image

This is old and most if not all the oils listed no longer exist. BUT, the bottom line is any quality 30W non detergent motor oil will work fine. Designed for oil injection or not. Matters not.

Coyote,
Thanks for the thought, but that oil link is bad, as are a number of other links on that page - no workie. A freind came by and told me that what was in my tank is Torco. I don't know how old it is, or what else is in there, so it should be replaced. I'll keep looking for that CCI oil.

Wazzup with that? It worked for me.

Took me straight to Paypal to check out.

If your tank is full of thick brown goopy looking oil, now might be a good time to dump it (in a environmentally appropriate way of course) and tip in a can of any two stroke oil you like the look of. Any modern 2 stroke oil will be better than the oils available back in the day in term sof smoke and deposits.

It's just that some are more better than others - so to speak.

tz375,
I dunno. It takes me to this number plate link.

If you have the direct link to the CCI oil that worked for you, and you have a moment, please post it here - Thanks!

p.s. I recycle all used old, oil filters and any other "hazmat" (e.g., old paint, anti freeze, batteries, etc.) that leave my garage!

If you end up having difficulty, I can get it too and send it but there are alot of online outlets for it. Here's one...

OK. Here's the deal. I clicked on the Paypal button which was correctly programmed. The photo and title are wrong.

Tz. Go to the site that Tim posted above your last post.
WOW Tim $2.99. Two or three quarts and your savings should cover shipping.

I have been fortunate enough to still be able to find this stuff at a few local dealers. Good stuff. I actually found a whole case of it at...
ready for this...?
A Harley dealership!!!
The service guy there was more than happy to sell it to me for a greatly reduced price.
Don't ask what I was doing at a Hardly dealer.

Just bought 12 bottles, came to $4.47 a bottle w/ shipping for me. I haven't been able to get a better price.

Sets me good for awhile... a month's worth for the Rideaholic Allen!

GT Tim,
Thanks for the link - good stuff.

Bought myself 5 quarts today shipped here to the left coast for a total of $6.27 per quart - a good deal. Heck, even if I could find it here for $5.99 per quart, Gov. Schwartenwhatzit gets 8.25% tax - putting it up to $6.48 per quart. I'm stoked. Thanks all :!:
