concern about trans. oil level
i have a 76 gt 500. i drained the trans oil and also replaced the clutch cover gasket (to unstick the clutch plates). on the centerstand i added 1400 cc. removed the side plug (rh side lower left behind brake pedal) and i est. about 500cc's came out (a 16 oz bottle plus). could i have not drained all the org. oil out? is there a way to measure how much oil is in the trans? a home made dipstick or such? just has me worried that i dont have enough oil in the trans, thanks for any help., tom
