These guys have made up a adapter so we can use better off the rack oil filters on our 4 stroke Suzuki's .. looks like a great 15$ investment http://balestech.com/filter.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I just ordered me one for my 1200 Bandit and they take PayPal too

Dave what are you paying for an oem filter versus say a Vesrah or K&N version for the Bandit.
Two strokes, its just that simple.

I havent checked into cost advantage yet Allan but Ryan got him one first for his SV1000 and then told me about it . Now i will be able to use some of the top of the line filters like the Purolator PL14520 or the Supertech ST6607 or the Mobile1 110 and i can get these at most better auto parts stores instead of finding a Suzuki dealer and these filter better than the stock filters too .

Solution in search of a problem IMO. I've been riding 4 stroke Suzuki's almost continuously for the past 10-12 years and have never found it particularly difficult or expensive to use the correct filter. There are several shops in my area that carry them but I tend to just order a few at a time so I have them on hand. I suppose if you lived in the middle of nowhere, had no local dealer, and the mailman won't deliver to your house I guess it might make sense? I'm not knocking the product per say as I'm sure it does allow more choice of filter but it's not something I'd rush out to buy.
