Alternate vessel for the two stroke oil?
I have a GT500 project in progress that was badly molested by previous owners and has ended up being significantly modified by me. I found that the stock oil tank has a leak at a seam and I am using that as an excuse to run no sidecover on the other side and replace the oil tank with something more subtle that I can integrate into the now more visible guts of the bike. Is the total capacity of the oil tank relevant beyond concerns for having to fill it often if it's smaller than stock? Could it be as simple as some sort of stainless canister w/ a fitting for an oil line and a way to fill it up?

Tucked up underneath the seat is a clear plastic tank with aluminum ends. It is from a machine auto-oiler. It has a neat little flip-up filler to fill it up. I got it form the scrap yard for about $5.
