T500 oil range

Just curious, how far should I reasonably expect my T500 to run on a tank of oil before it needs topped off again?

Ask a simple question, wait a week, and only get a reply from a spammer. Classic.

Yes, ironic that.
OK, my 2p ... maybe the reason folks don't immediately know is it's not like fuel where you wait until the tank is almost empty before filling - it's a routine top-up after every ride.
Sorry, no help at all I know, but it's intelligent input, and I'm not a spammer.

Wingspan,
That's probably a sign that no one here rides a GT500 far enough to know what the range is. I couldn't tell you what it is on my RZ350 because I don't ride it long distances and oil consumption tends to be a function of how hard I'm stretching the throttle cable.
Let's do some simple math and see where it takes us.
Oil tank capacity say 1.5 quart (correct the calculation for the real number)
Average fuel consumption say 20MPG
Average oil consumption say 40:1
So, At 20MPG it is burning 1 gallon of fuel in 20 miles and 1/40 of a gallon of oil (1/10 quart)
Therefore, one quart would last for 200 miles and 1.5 quarts would be 300 miles per tank of oil.

I'll be riding 200 miles on my ol' T500 tomorrow - I'll take a bottle of oil just in case, but I'll make a note of how much I need to top up with after the ride.

Sounds reasonable enough. Thanks.

OK, I do not have an exact total either. But, I fill the gas tank about every 120-140 miles. This is all in town riding, so it seems I need to fill the oil tank at least every 3 to 4 fillups of gas. So for me that works out to approx. 400-450 miles a tank. A very few times was it showing in the sight glass, so in my estimation you could easily get 500 miles with mostly low speed riding. Highway mileage I have not had a chance to check yet.

Thanks, that's the sort of info I was after. I know the actual mileage will vary and no one wants to get low enough to worry about it. Knowing that I can do more than one tankful without topping off the oil is all I need to know.

On a 700 Km trip I use about a 2/3 of a tank

Last weekend I made a 850 mile trip with my T500K. Most of the riding was at 80 to 100 kph on back roads.
The average fuel consumption was 40 mpg and oil consumption 100ml oil/100 km.
