Re: 74 T500 oil pump seals
Forum member bloop2 sells a complete oil pump kit on eBay.
Be extra careful with the oil pump priming bolt because it has left hand threads.

Re: 74 T500 oil pump seals
The T500 and GT500 have one line that splits to two lines for each cylinder.where these lines split, they can develop air leaks causing air bubbles in oil lines.

Re: 74 T500 oil pump seals
Thanks after further inspection think air leak is coming from spilt were lines join together because one line is full the other 3 have air, going try to bond joints not many options out there. Thanks again!

Re: 74 T500 oil pump seals
I'm back! So here's were I'm at, made fixture to put a very little amount of air into lines no leaks found that 3 of the 4
check valves were not closing trying to clean them carefully. Open for ideas don't want to take them apart! (check valves)

Re: 74 T500 oil pump seals
You can clean the lines and check valves with carb cleaner. Allow them to dry.To test them properly you need to fill the lines with 2T oil using a syringe or something similar. Then hang them up with the check valves downwards overnight. The lines should still be full with no bubbles in the morning. If not they are not doing the job and will allow oil to continue flowing into the crankcase after the engine is stopped. Not good! The check valves can be serviced by removing them but unless you know what you are doing its very difficult. New valves can be bought but there are mixed views on whether they work or not and they are expensive. If yours leak i would try to source another set. Good luck
