New to Suzuki two strokes, please help with oil lines

Post by supermotobobby »

Hello everyone, so I am an RZ350 guy but have since took on a 75 GT550 project. I'm getting discuraged fast and am not sure I want to continue this project. I can't find Oil Lines and other parts but the Oil Lines are the main thing I can't find. Unlike the RD's and RZ's I am told you can't blank off the Oil Pump and run premix because of the chance of siezing. please help

What condition are the existing oil lines in?
Be patient. Eventually a useable oil line assembly will show up on eBay.

The crank main bearings are fed oil directly from the oil pump & are not exposed to the gas+air mixture. Their days are numbered if you eliminate the oil pump & run premix.

How much of a rebuild are you doing? What condition is the motor in?
Are you going to rebuild the crank with new crank seals?

Thanks for the info, I will be rebuilding the whole engine. I'm modifing the frame to fit GSXR750 front end and rear end with swing arm.

If you are going to rebuild the crank, you can remove the oil guides and run premix. with the oil guides removed from crank, it allows premix to lubricate the main bearings.
