hello, i am trying to get my H2 to run on these 32mm round slide carbs.

the tuning seems to be pretty straight forward, simply adjust air screws and gas screws till you get to the desired idle rpm range.

i have a carb tuning tool that has the red bead in it and that goes up and down with the suction, any way i can get the bike to idle at about 2k or less, i give the throttle a twist and it wants to die. choke is off, soo?? any one familar with these?

Actually, no. The air screw is to get the correct idle mixture. The air screw is screwed in and out until you get the highest idle. It should be in the range of 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 turns out. If not in that range, then your pilot jet is wrong.

There is no "gas" screw, it is an idle screw that raises or lowers the slide. That is the one to adjust until you get the correct idle speed. Use your sync tool to get the vacuum equal and then adjust to get around 1200 rpm. If the motor goes flat after that, your needle is not on the right clip, or the slide cutout is not correct, or both.

32's are totally different carbs. And you really have to do the idle test and know what jets you already have.
