Mmmm ....Love that scene around 47.15: Toying with the big boys by jumping up onto one wheel ! Never get tired of watching that image with the home town boys doing good out on the track.

There's one on a stand at the museum here, and sometimes I go in and stare at it for a while. It's a true work of art. Never seen one running unfortunately.

John Britten was a remarkable guy. If you manage to get hold of the biography by Tim Hanna it's a great read. Read Hanna's books on Munro and Newcombe too.

An amazing story. If you are near the west coast of the US, there is also one in the Solvang museum (http://www.motosolvang.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) located about an hour north of LA.

I have had this story on tape for years but it was misplaced during a clean-up. Nice to know it's online! I saw a Britten race at Daytona in 1995 or so. Beautiful sound, wonderful machine, marvelous man - very inspirational.
