I haven't seen anyone use one for a few years now. Most racers use a weather station and some sort of jetting computer - usually from a NASCAR store.

Gone with the slide rule i guess , I see them on ebay for around 10$ so i was wondering .. do you use something like this Kevin for your track side tuning ?

Hi Dave. Yes I do and I use it routinely. Richard is correct about most racers using weather stations. I looked at a few and a decent one can run a couple hundred dollars. They are definitely handy but I use the Mikuni "slide-rule" at every track I go to and refer to it throught the day. If jetting is already on the edge and the temperature changes enough on an early morning pass, the slide ruler can help make the decision to jet up and maybe prevent some piston damage. It's a good and inexpensive tool to help guide decisions.
