Electric load lightening

Post by Arne »

Does anyone know (or care to test) how many amps the stock GT750 draws at with the lights on?

I'm trying to see how much I can save and would like to know where I'm starting from.

Thanks! Arne

I'm just seeing how much power the electric systems draws for fun. I imagine it will be more of an exercise than anything.

Considering that these things probably pull like 5 amps at 12 volts its 60 watts or 0.08 horsepower..... its really just in the margins...

BUT I'm still curious. Thanks.

The stock coil pack (points ignition) on my 380 draws an average of around 2.5A - 3A when running (higher draw at idle, lower draw at medium revs).

I guess you can work out the total draw from the wattage of the lights that are in play.
