I nave never seen a float levbel, or a correct reading liquid level in a two stroke carb, unless it was adjusted after the carb showed problems.

Kawasaki H series carbs, both H series, came from the factory with float levels between 23.0 and 24.0 mm's, and the liquid levels were far too high. We did tests, found the correct liquid level was found at 26 mm's float level. This issue was traced to a problem created by poor quality control and setting at Mikuni as the carbs were assembled.

High float levels cause fuel to be pulled into the throttle bore much easier than is needed, causing richness and loading problems. Too low a liquid level causes the opposite, leanness. The key is to get the liquid level set to match the vacuum signal pull at the jetting orifice in the throttle bore, as in the pilot jet outlet, idle bypass passage, needle jet outlet.

We at Kawasaki back in the day used to specify all new, fresh out of the crate bikes get the carbs pulled and float levels set. EVERY new bike. Some dealers were good at doing that, and their bikes ran really good, some dealers didn't care a hoot, and they always had loading and plug fouling issues.

I read that the float level is down low in that carb, but the liquid level is fine. That really isn't the way it should be, as the float level specification should get the level to the correct position. If it works, and the carb doesn't go lean at upper rpms from too low a liquid level, you should be fine

"thank you much"........... 8)

I don't know how I missed the pic of the 750k as I had been following this thread. That bike looks really cool..!! I found the following video on youtube of a GT750 with a 3 into 1. The sound is fantastic!! Sure would like to hear your bike running diablo.
