Uni filters and carb adjustment

Well after fighting the ole 73 VM buffalo carbs I finally got the ole girl running good

.
The Idle is a perfect 1000 rpm and it will idle till it runs outta gas .
the only issue I have is that at 3/4+ throttle the engine seems to bog bad , when I slightly close the throttle the engine jumps to life again,

Sounds to me like I need to richen up the needles? I just wanna check before I touch the carbs again.
By the way I have the chrome caped unis on a 73 GT 750

Could be too rich or it could be too lean. You might be changing the main jet instead of moving the needle, but it doesn't hurt to try (pretty easy to shift the needle up and down on those carbs).

I'd do a plug chop to tell for sure (even just looking at your plugs will tell you quite a bit)

You can also turn the choke on and see if it makes it worse or better, that'll let you know which way is up.

Arne is right. It is most probably lean, but it's the main jets if it's >3/4 throttle.

Needles are the main event from 1/4 to 3/4
