that cheetah would be the sh*t but would also hurt my wallet (and a lot more)

anybody knows how much clearance is the minimum between the crank and the stuffer? gonna try to make some this weekend.

Stuffers are very old school.... :wth: If you are going to use modern pipes, they will actually reduce power and make the powerband shorter......... :?

I'm using the stuffers for my street bike, stock everything!

those casings make me feel all warm and fuzzy

could it be I have put the wrong crank in the case? it's a GT crank.

I know where it gets you!

I remember that article from many years ago (70's) They did a lot of mods, special chambers, and it was as fast as a stock Kawi 500........ :wth:

I'm building this bike to ride along with the old farts from my neighborhood so i just wanted it to be a bit nippier.
If you guys think it wouldn't make much I'll just drop that idee.
I think I wil just rase my exhaust ports a bit and clean things up inside.

Throw in a mm and widen it some. Good pipes are the best bet.....

but back to the thread: LC 500's
didn't find any 250cc's that fit yet, seems that 2X125cc cylinders would be easy to adapt but then you would only have ~250cc (duh).
2X 200cc would be acceptable though. :roll:

Hey Pedro,

I was thinking seriously of loaning them to you. I have been searching for a set of heads for these since I got them without any success. I figure rather than have them sit there, I might get closer to being able to use them by loaning them to you. If you sort out a head to suit them after you pattern the barrels, maybe you'll make me a deal on a head. And if I'm really lucky, maybe one day you'll sell me a replica SB1 on a low interest payment plan! :D

By all means pursue the other leads you have for the top end parts and if you decide you want to borrow my cylinders, let me know.

Pete,
The barrels are fairly complex with those boost ports, but the head is pretty simple. You could come up with a model for the head external shape and copy a Banshee type deign for the inside and use replaceable inserts.

According to my notes the head casting number is 1111 XR05 25, chamber is non squish with 1.1mm sunk chamber which is 12.5mm deep and the plugs was set into a slight recess. And don't ask me why I didn't take better notes or pictures when I had one in my back yard many years ago. My job was to make it run so it could be sold by the owner who had bought it with fresh body paint
and a motor that had not run in ages.

I fitted new tires, chain etc and got it ready to run. Fortunately for me, I never could get it to fire up. If it had I would have really embarrassed myself.
