Suzuki 2 Strokes

Has anyone had any trouble with balancing carbs with vacuum gauges? I tried recently and they do not seem to respond at all... Do most here just bench tune them? Also, any tips/hints when removing your baffles to clean them?

After doing a bench setup, and setting the timing, I use a Uni-Syn to finalise the balancing. Easy to use and tough to break

I prefer to have the pipes hot, so after the engine has warmed them up bit - they just seem to be easier to pull out. And sometimes a slide hammer is a big help !
