John, that really shows how deceptive teh intakes are and how wide they get.
But check out the other end with steps and bumps and all manner of nasties down there. Of course with a reed motor, that could all be cleaned up with no detriment to low speed performance

They are rather lumpy/bumpy, and the flair at the liner is not good either. But not really bad for a sand core cast.
