There was an old tuning theory that said "if a motor will take a high compression ratio, it isn't breathing deeply enough" ....
1976 GT380 - wounded by me, and sold on
2006 SV650S - killed by a patch of diesel and a kerb in Feb 2019
2017 SV650 AL7 - naked and unashamed

Well, I don't know about this Dave. It may work, but I suspect it might be a bit peaky  Are there enough base gaskets in existance to seal all the plates? You would have to mill so much off the block, that maybe all you need is the head. :) Interesting concept, but you go first. Where the heck did all those lift plates come from? Cheers.

Hmmm.... That much lift! Bet it really comes on the pipe at about 30k RPM....

Dave - I still have your copper head gasket patiently waiting to be placed into service....

Actually, you might be on to something! You could build your entire cylinder out of individual pieces all stuck together. Imagine how easy it would be to change porting: just swap out a few thin pieces here and there to see how it worked! It'd be even easier if you made them out of cardboard, just cut with an exacto knife or similar... No need to worry about piston sealing either: just make the cylinder holes size-on-size and the rings would slice away anything in the way! Dayum!
